BY LAND:

If coming from the Washington Metro and Maryland areas---------From Waldorf, MD take MD 5/235 SOUTH, or from Prince Fredrick, MD take MD 2/4 SOUTH to MD 235 SOUTH , to Lexington Park, MD. Continue south on MD 235 to Dameron, MD (approx 9.0 miles). When at the John Deere dealer (Carrolls Equipment), right side of road, continue south 0.7 miles until reaching DIAMOND LANE (private gravel road on left side of MD 235). Turn left onto DIAMOND LANE. Bear right at fork and follow to end.

OR

If coming from Virginia--------- After crossing the POTOMAC RIVER BRIDGE into Maryland on US 301 NORTH, continue several miles to MD 234 (right turn). Take MD 234 to Leonardtown, MD . From Leonardtown, MD take MD 5 SOUTH through St. Mary’s City, MD and St. Inigoes, MD to intersection of MD 5 and MD 235 in Ridge, MD (approx. 16 miles from Leonardtown, MD). Turn left onto MD 235 NORTH and continue several miles to DIAMOND LANE (private gravel road on right side of MD 235). Turn right onto DIAMOND LANE. Bear right at fork and follow to end.

 

BY AIR:

LAND PLANE: Fly into ST MARY’S COUNTY AIRPORT (2W6). Arrangements can be made for ground transportation to/from the SPB. Please call 301-872-4055 for arrangements.

Landings at (MD01) AIRSTRIP by PRIOR ARRANGEMENT ONLY.

SEAPLANE: Fly into WINGFIELD SPB (MDO1) on St. Jerome’s Creek. Floating dock and seaplane ramp are adjacent to airstrip.

NOTE: ADDITIONAL AIRPORT/SPB INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE FROM AIRNAV.

 

BY WATER:

Sail to ST. JEROME’S CREEK (just below Point-No-Point on the Chesapeake Bay). Continue into the creek and sail north favoring the Creek’s northwest branch to WINGFIELD DOCK (Latitude 38-08-32N, Longitude 76-21-23W).

Seaplane Base Facility

 
The Wingfield Seaplane Base is on St. Jerome’s Creek. The floating dock and seaplane ramp are adjacent to Wingfield airstrip.
